I have some opinions about this FIST nuts. I am glad to see the way that FIST is running the roster situation. maybe since this is a showcase of only the finest, maybe those [glow=red,2,300]wanna be[/glow] wrestlers will start to get the picture. I mean, does anybody else notice the wrestlers that have already lost two matches? those wrestlers are wanna bes. They only wrestle once a month at a show that is 10 miles from their homes. Isn't a PROFESSIONAL wrestler one who dedicates their profession to wrestling. I believe what FIST is trying to promote is the advancement of wrestlers who are PROFESSIONAL, meaning ones who travel to get paid and plan on shining in the sport for years to come. If all you plan on doing in the sport is TALKING about how you are a wrestler and have your neighbors come to see you who live right down the street, you don't have the right to bear the name pro wrestler. I hope to see advancing in the sport especially in such a history rich area. This league is excellent for the sport and I will be at every show possible. I am also glad to see that there were no out of shape wrestlers that won a match with the exception of Mississippi Madman DQ of Tommy Knight. Maybe we can slowly eliminate the fat pieces of nuts that don't deserve to be called pro wrestlers out of the sport. Don't get em wrong, there have been plenty of good big men. (Andre, Bundy, Big Show (early years), John Tenta) Each were also good psychologists. These local guys suck. You have computer geeks, and desk clerks who dress in spandex once a month and have the balls to say that they are part of a sport that includes some 60 minute classics and the ability to not get tired in the first 5 minutes and go to a rest hold. Independant wrestling is falling quickly, and in the midwest particularly. I commend FIST for being dedicated to bringing dignity back. I hope to see more of the finest that the US has to offer. I have heard of The KINGS OF WRESTLING might drop in to fight Tyson & Dingo sometime soon. Can anyone confirm or deny this? Also, who are the hybrids? why do I f**king hate Hunter Matthews so much that I like him? Who was that hot chica walking around ringside last show? and why does gordan pumpernickle look like armando alejandro estrada? Please reply i knnnow your not talking about pierre or the owl

I am talking about all of those "wrestlers" who only wrestle shows once or twice a month 10 miles from there house. If that includes Pierre, Evan, Dorian, Tommy Knight, Gary, Shorty, Reid, and list goes on and on, then I guess there is your answer. What we need if we as wrestling fans want better shows, is to quit humoring these wrestling fans that want to live out there dreams and jump in a ring once a month.
If they really want to be called pro wrestlers, tell them to get experience and wrestle around the territory. If they were worth a nuts, they would get booked other places.
The reason they only reason that they only wrestle for one promotion is because their friend runs it and lets them jump around for little or no money to risk bodily harm to live out a dream. That, is pathetic!!!
So all you dreamers and wishers, quit talking to the skies, and reading your Mick Foley books because If you actually had talent you would do something with it instead of watching your tv and saying that "That guy stole my move".
Eat a thingy and quit calling yourselves pro wrestlers!
i'll be at the only real show in town on March 25th.
Hope you all don't waste your money at the same building a week before with the same old fat guys, a few good wrestlers, and a GROSSLY overpaid TNA wrestler.

First off...BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA................HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA @ Alex Shelley being grossly overpaid. First off, I kinda doubt you even KNOW how much he's being paid, and beyond that, I don't care what he's paid, because he's one of the best talents on the scene today. I don't even really like LWA, and I'm going simply to see him live. That was the dumbest of your VERY dumb statements.
Now, this whole 6 month thing really is pretty dumb. And I don't hate it because its different, which I gotta say is honestly a pretty thingyy statement. I dislike it because it's a bad idea. If you want keep the roster fresh, more power to you, but there's no reason to make that rule. That could very well end with very talented people being off shows for a very long time. It could very well also make some matches ultra predictable, if a guy is in a match that we KNOW won't be out for 6 months.
The Kings being brought in would be pure awesome.
And as for those saying this car looks bad, I don't see how. 1) How do you know Delirious will be wasted, when you haven't even learned who he's facing yet. (BTW: My money says Delirious is the guy who faces the champ). Daizee Haze vs Ms. Chif will pure awesome, possibly match of the night as they know each other so well, I've never seen them have a bad match with each other. And that tag team match will be a show stealer as well. I haven't been the biggest fan of this promotion so far, but between the rumblings of the major talents being brought in, this awesome card so far, and specificly bringing a no doubt lights out women's match to the STL area, I seem to be becoming a bigger FIST fan by the minute.

My statement about not liking it because it's different, wasn't meant to be an insult. I've been in this buisiness since 94 and and I've talked to alot of fans and I have heard lots of people say things like it wasn't a bad show, but it's not like [ insert promotion name here ] that I go to. Remember a wrestler will only be fully out for six months if they lose four matches in one night [ two in each division ], otherwise they will only be out of one division for six months. It's ok you don't like the idea all I ask is that you give it a chance, it could turn out to be a great inovation. This could lead to some interesting matches if say two of the top wrestlers each have one loss and are facing each other then we know one of the top singles competitors will have to try his hand at the tag division for six months before he can try to be a top singles competitor again. This could lead into some very interesting scenario's.

Not to stir the pot, but if you check out Pierre's myspace page you will see he is actually traveling a lot for wrestling, IOWA, Kansas, Indiana...I am sure most of these shows also include Evan, Dorian, or Gary. So not for nothing, maybe you should get some facts together before you start talking making blanket statements. Why don't you share a list of local wrestlers that you know travel around and we can see who you consider to be "pro's" and not weekend warriors. Signed, JGP....Weekend Warrior

For all of you idiots who cannot read:
My post simply said the following: I am talking about the wrestlers who only wrestle shows that are 10 miles from their house once a month blah blah blah.
what you didn't read is:
IF that list includes evan, dorian, pierre, and gary blah blah blah.
The list I was talking about included those wrestlers. IF that includes those guys, which it doesn't, then I would be talking about them. I think it may include guys like most UWA wrestlers, most of Full Throttle, Most of Broadway, and the undercard of LWA. Does anyone else agree that the previously mentioned "wrestlers" don't deserve to be called such?
F.I.S.T. offers ONLY the best. The card from top to bottom is a showcase of only the best rising stars in their craft. look at the card in five years and you wil see ROH champions, TNA and WWE future champions on F.I.S.T. cards in the future.
They don't fill the undercard with guys who wrestle once a month, 10 miles from their house.
I am just a fan of entertainment. I don't even like wrestling that much. My buddy is in F.I.S.T. and he drags me to shows. Because of him I like wrestling. The other shows have never offered anything top to bottom. There is always AT LEAST two matches that don't deserve to be on the show, ever. At least if there is a bad match here, it was because one of the wrestlers was on a bad night, and any other night it could have been match of the night.
every match on the card could be th match of the night. it is similar to 50 cent get rich or die tryin: every single thing on it was a hit from the first track to the last.
See you all on March 25th

Oh boy this is getting ridicious and this whole thread has spilled over on LWA's board (and my board has missed the action!). I'll point out one thing...please use experienced officials and NOT someone who's doing it for the first time. I got a lot of complaints about that first time ref...and I certainly was willing to bring along the person who reffed the first show. On the two-loss rule...I did cover it on the STLWC's Fact or Fiction fatal four-way column. Check it out! stlwrestling.livejournal.com

I don't really know if it's my place to speak on, seeings how I didnt see the ref in question, but my opinion is let the guy work out the kinks, give him a few shows to learn how to ref. If everyone just said screw off to refs that where inexperienced, how would anyone ever break in?

After thinking about it, with the new rule in state about two losses. I think everyone is fine to compete in the divisions they are already in. I believe the main people in question are Dorian, Pierre, Evan and Gary. As previously stated Dorian is fine to compete in any division. However all three Gary, Evan, Pierre are still fine to compete in whatever division they want. As Pierre/Evan lost a tag match and then a SIX man tag, not the same, and Gary lost a tag match and then a Handicap match, so he is still good. So I don't see why everyone is complaining, as of know everyone is still fine to compete in whatever division they want.

Sorry Billy but that is not quite correct. Dorian is the only one still eligible for both divisions. Gary, Pierre and Evan are only eligible for the singles division for the next six months. There are only two divisions, Singles and tag.

If there are only 2 divisions why would the owner allow anything other than singles and tag matches. What possible benefit would wrestlers in a six man or handicap match get? Especially a handicap match. Also if Matt hadn't stepped in and helped Gary it would have been a 3 on 1 and he still wouldn't be eligible for tag action? That is pretty lame if you ask me...which you didn't. But whatever.

This rule has been updated in the program that will be handed out free to the paid fans, including a brand new list of who is eligible for which division. Be sure to show up and see it for yourself. I think everyone will like the changes that have been made. This is still a work in progress, but I think we have it dialed in pretty good now.

I personally never count handicaps or six-man tags when I did ranking lists for NMW. For one if a singles wrestler beat a tag team alone...count it as two singles wins? One? A tag win? Then the tag team counts as a loss individually or together? Too many pitfalls...so in the grand scheme of things I don't count them.
Six-man tags...since there's no six-man title, I don't mess with those either. 2 on 2 or 1 on 1...only matches that really matter when going for titles.
